posted 24 days agoHey! The spinning logo without downloading was a known bug that's now fixed in version 24.1. Update the extension and it should actually download rather than just spin. Give it a try! 😊- Rated 5 out of 5by JonnyR, 7 months agoI've been a longtime user of Easy Video Downloader and used it to download audio and video files from Youtube for personal use. Recently it stopped working for me, so I reached out to support. They were very quick to respond and worked through possible causes with me some which turned out to be a cookies issue. I highly recommend Easy Video Downloader . The name says it all EASY and it works flawlessly. Thank you guys!
- Rated 1 out of 5by karjala, 7 months agoDoes absolutely nothing on Firefox 141, and when I emailed the author asking how to make it work (or to report the issue to him), I got an email claiming that he doesn't intend to make it work as long as YouTube has restrictions, and promoted in the email a $30/year desktop app I can use instead:
---
YouTube has aggressively begun blocking our server IP addresses, leading us to rely on thousands of proxies to mitigate this issue. Unfortunately, this dependence often results in unreliable speeds, broken downloads and blockage after a few hours and as of now almost all datacenter IP's are blocked by Youtuebe and server based downloading is now a thing of the past. This is done because of the upcoming AI wars between companies
To address this limitation, I have developed a desktop app that offers several additional benefits:
---
Mozilla should take this false, advertising add-on down, and DEFINITELY off their "Recommended" list.Developer response
posted 24 days agoHi karjala! We apologize for that experience — the email communication wasn't handled well. Version 24.1 is now out and the extension works again on current Firefox. No desktop app purchase needed. Please give it another try directly in Firefox. 🙏 - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 19280077, 7 months agoWith all the limitations from YouTube, this extension is probably the best way to download videos from their site. I initially had an issue with the download. If you also experience issues, my solution may work for you: instead of Firefox, use Chrome; the download may stall/pause multiple times, so you'll need to monitor the download progress and click "continue" each time to get it to download. Once it is downloaded, it works great.

- Rated 1 out of 5by minneyb.BITeC/OtisRef, 8 months agoThanks to big-wigs, this add-on is not working anything like it used to. It cannot even find Youtube's domain (Google, Co.). Do users not need their own legal services, and not domains denying all users' rights?

posted 24 days agoHi! We understand the frustration — YouTube domain changes caused real issues. Version 24.1 addresses these compatibility problems and gets the extension working with YouTube again. Please give it an update and try again! 🙏 - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18857485, 8 months agoLeider nicht funktional, es hat einmal funktioniert, aber seit YouTube ein neues Format nutzt, erkennt es keine Medien mehr.

posted 24 days agoHallo! 😊 Developer response
