Drawback: no style options, and cannot select mutiple websites to put in one epub file - Rated 5 out of 5by Rodrigo, 2 years agoIt converts browser's read-mode to epub. So, if read-mode is bad on some webpage, it naturally gets bad too.

It sometimes fails with an error for German webpages, i think it's maybe because of one of the characters with an umlaut in the name or author: ä, ö, ü.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Gustavo, 3 years agoFunciona fantástica, sólo selecciono texto e imágenes y aprieto el botón y ya: el epub creado. Me ha funcionado incluso con distintos tipos de páginas web. ¡Muy bueno! No lo cambién.

- Rated 2 out of 5by @ekasprzak, 5 years agoAfter a few months of active using it I noticed that sometimes it completely ignores big part of a web page - the worst part - somewhere in the middle.
So - it has a good beginning and good ending, which makes very hard to notice that there might be something wrong.
That's not good - I would prefer if it wouldn't work at all in those "problematic" sites as then I would know right away I have some issue and I need to use some different solution.
Because of that I had to retake all my web sites that I'm archiving as epub. - Rated 1 out of 5by PERCE-NEIGE, 5 years agoDoesn't work (when the same page works with other addons), it says: "typeerror: lobal.crypto.subtle is undefined".

- Rated 5 out of 5by Wimdel, 5 years agoNice and clever addon! Does what it needs to do. Thank you! Some suggestions for the next release:
- Grab the publishing date from the web page and insert it in the epub's filename
- Sometimes it doesn't include the images from the webpage. I don't know why yet.

- Rated 4 out of 5by mang isda, 5 years agoFUNCTIONAL & WORKING GREAT except that the Table of Contents on the created ePub file does not work (Webpage being referred to: http://www.gutenberg.org/files/28416/28416-h/28416-h.html#toc35). Hope it would be fixed. Thanks very much to the creator NiklasG.

- Rated 3 out of 5by mobius, 7 years agoThis add-on seems to do a very good job, but sometimes leaves blank spaces where there should be text.
Since there's no telling what text it has missed out, that effectively makes the add-on unusable.
See, for example, the GNU Grub manual: https://www.gnu.org/software/grub/manual/grub/grub.html
Epub creator creates an epub of this page with blank spaces where there should be code snippets in section 2 (called: "2 Naming convention").
It produces blank spaces instead of code snippets for some of those that appear in section 3 (called: "3 OS-specific notes about grub tools"). And yet it reproduces other code snippets on that page faithfully. At a glance, there is no obvious difference between those snippets it reproduces and those it cannot.
So the add-on is unusable. It omits some text, and it's not possible to know what text it's missing.
I gave it three stars for effort. Because it looks like a job well started but not quite yet done.
UPDATE:
The same problem is apparent in Firefox Reader View. So it seems to be a problem with Firefox, not with the add-on. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14603243, 7 years agoThis extension get images, links and embedded videos where others extensions just get text ! Thanks you !
