FireShot is a really excellent alternative to the "Prt Sc" button and has two extra options "Capture entire page" and "Capture Selection".

Note, though, that these options appear, at present, to be only available to the Firefox browser. As a developer this is not a problem for me as I use various browsers for testing purposes.
