Data Collection
This extension collects the following data to provide leaderboard functionality:

1. User Display Name (Optional)
2. Users can choose to provide a display name or remain anonymous
3. If anonymous, a randomly generated alias is used
4. This data is stored locally and synced to our servers
5. Country Information
6. Country code is automatically detected from your IP address using ipapi.co
7. This is used to display country-based leaderboards
8. Only the country code (e.g., "US", "GB") is collected, not your exact location
9. Session Data
10. Focus session duration (in minutes)
11. Session completion timestamps
12. This data is used to calculate leaderboard rankings
13. Timer Preferences
14. Focus duration, short break, and long break settings
15. Stored locally and optionally synced to servers
16. User ID
17. A unique identifier (UUID) is generated locally
18. Used to track your progress across sessions
19. Not linked to any personal information

Data Storage and Transmission
- Data is stored locally in your browser using browser.storage APIs
- When you complete a focus session, session data is sent to our servers (data.getfocusrace.com)
- User settings are synced to our servers to maintain your profile across devices
- All data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS

Data Usage
- Collected data is used solely to:
* Display leaderboard rankings
* Track your personal progress
* Provide country-based leaderboard filtering
- Data is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties
- Data is not used for advertising or marketing purposes

Third-Party Services
- ipapi.co: Used for IP-based country detection (privacy policy: https://ipapi.co/privacy/)
- Our API server (data.getfocusrace.com): Stores leaderboard and user data

User Rights
- You can choose to remain anonymous at any time
- You can change or remove your display name
- All data is stored locally and can be cleared by uninstalling the extension
- Contact us if you wish to delete your data from our servers
