Form Filler Buddy – Privacy Policy

Thank you for using Form Filler Buddy, a browser extension designed to help you save time by auto-filling web forms with your personal data or randomly generated realistic information.

1. Data Collection
   Form Filler Buddy does not collect, transmit, or share any user data with external servers, third parties, or the developer.

The extension only stores data locally in your browser using Chrome’s chrome.storage API. This includes:

Your saved form field values (e.g., name, email, phone, address)
Field mappings and preferences
This data never leaves your device and is only used to enable the form-filling functionality.

1. Permissions
   The extension requests the following permissions:

storage – To save your form data locally
activeTab – To interact with the current tab only when you click the extension icon
scripting – To inject content scripts for form detection and filling
<all_urls> – To work on any website where you choose to use it
No code is loaded from external sources. All logic runs entirely within your browser.

1. Remote Code & External Services
   Form Filler Buddy does not use remote code, analytics, tracking scripts, ads, or any external APIs.

The extension is 100% client-side and open to inspection (source code available on GitHub).

1. Data Deletion
   To delete all your data:

Uninstall the extension, OR
Go to the extension popup → “Clear All Data”
Your data will be permanently removed from your browser.

1. Children’s Privacy
   This extension is not intended for users under 13 years of age.
2. Changes to This Policy
   If this policy is updated, the new version will be posted here with an updated “Last updated” date.
