Been using several months. Excellent at blocking unwanted popups and overlays that slow down page loads and introduce malware risk. Very easy to disable temporarily if it prevents a page from working properly. I use it in conjunction with containers for enhanced protection and privacy.

First heard about Ghostery years ago when I was looking for something that blocked tracking. The added bonus of ad-blocking and never consent for cookies and other things sites want from you has made me a long-time user. It eliminates most pop-ups and gives you the option to view how many things a site is asking for on load. I don't notice the slow-down issues other users have expressed but that may just be my experience and my machine.

This add-on does its job quietly, and very seldom causes trouble with poorly-designed websites. It also gets along with Privacy Badger, UBlock, and half a dozen other privacy-enhancing add-ons that I use routinely.

Been using it since I first came across it never had any problems Ghostery blocks trackers and a Great side effect also stopped ads and other pop-ups so I can just enjoy the programing updated often love Ghostery have it on 7 computers dont need ads targeting my kids computers or tracking 4 7 13 and 18 years old thanks Ghostery

Works well just slows down a bit youtube when used for a long time. You can restart ghostery by pausing (1day) and unpausing it fixing the issue.

This extension is pretty good at blocking most of the ads, trackers, and other unwanted pop-ups. I also use this in conjunction with other pop-up blockers.
