Hexera Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Hexera (the "Extension," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Hexera browser extension wallet.

Summary

• Hexera is a non-custodial wallet. Your Secret Recovery Phrase and private keys are stored locally in your browser's extension storage and are not sent to us.
• We do not run analytics or tracking in the extension.
• The extension connects to third-party services (blockchain nodes, swap providers, price data services, and buy-crypto providers). Those services may receive your IP address, wallet addresses, and transaction data necessary to provide their services.

Information We Process

1) Information you provide or store locally

The extension stores the following data locally in your browser's extension storage (IndexedDB/local storage):
- Secret Recovery Phrase, private keys, and derived public addresses
- Account names and preferences
- Custom networks and tokens
- Transaction activity history displayed in the extension
- Password lock data (salt/hash) used to lock/unlock the extension

This data is stored locally on your device. We do not receive or store it on our servers.

2) Information processed for features

When you use specific features, the extension sends data to third-party services to function:
- Blockchain RPC nodes and explorers (for balances, transactions, and broadcasts) may receive your public wallet addresses, transaction details, and IP address.
- Swap and quote services may receive your source/destination addresses, asset identifiers, and amounts to generate quotes and build swap transactions.
- Buy-crypto (Mercuryo): the extension requests your public IP address and sends your wallet address, IP address, and a merchant transaction ID to our signing service to generate a widget signature. The Mercuryo widget also receives your wallet address and transaction details you enter in the widget.
- Price and token metadata services receive asset identifiers and may receive your IP address.

Third-Party Services Used

Based on the current codebase, the extension may connect to the following services (or their successors) depending on the feature you use:
- Blockchain RPC / infrastructure: Cloudflare Ethereum, Ankr, PublicNode, LlamaRPC, Base, Linea, Optimism, Arbitrum, Polygon, BNB Chain, TronGrid, and mempool.space
- Swap and liquidity routing: SwapKit (api.swapkit.dev) and its downstream providers (such as THORSwap and 1inch) for quotes and swaps
- Pricing and token data: CoinGecko
- Buy-crypto: Mercuryo widget (exchange.mercuryo.io) and our signing endpoint (bmpapi.dreamcometrue.ai)
- IP discovery: api.ipify.org (used to generate the Mercuryo signature)
- Static assets: Google Fonts and FlagCDN (for UI fonts and flag icons)

These third parties may collect and process information under their own privacy policies.

How We Use Information

We use the information described above only to:
- Provide wallet functionality (balances, transactions, swaps, and buy-crypto features)
- Secure the extension with a local password lock
- Display prices and token metadata

Data Retention

• Local wallet data remains on your device until you reset or remove the extension.
• Data sent to third-party services is subject to those services' retention policies.

Security

We use local storage in your browser for wallet data. You are responsible for safeguarding your device, password, and Secret Recovery Phrase. We cannot recover your funds if you lose your recovery phrase.

Your Choices

• You can remove local data by resetting the wallet or uninstalling the extension.
• If you do not want data shared with third-party services (e.g., swaps or buy-crypto), avoid using those features.

Children's Privacy

Hexera is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the effective date above when changes are made.
