About this extension
🛡️ 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻
This browser extension extends the functionality of Apple's "Hide My Email" service to Firefox. It lets you generate and use private email aliases directly from a simple pop-up UI.

❗️ Please note: This product is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple.

The purpose of this tool is to protect your real email address from spam and tracking 🚫 during website sign-ups. It offers a convenient way to create and manage a unique, random email address for every site, significantly enhancing your online privacy and security—much like Safari's native integration, but available everywhere you browse.

✨ 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀
Instant Generation: Simple pop-up UI for generating and reserving new Hide My Email+ aliases.

Full Control: Ability to manage existing aliases (deactivate, reactivate, and delete).

Seamless Input: Autofilling on any relevant HTML input element for email.

Settings Access: Quick configuration of Hide My Email+ settings, such as the Forward-To address, through the extension's Options page.

⚙️ 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗜𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘆
The extension functions by communicating with the iCloud APIs, simulating the network requests (client behavior) of the icloud.com web app. Authentication is handled by leveraging the icloud.com cookies already stored in your browser following the iCloud sign-in process.

It accesses these cookies by utilizing host permissions on specific icloud.com paths. This grants the extension "same-origin" status for requests, which tells the browser to automatically include stored credentials (cookies).

Security Guarantee: Crucially, the extension never has access to the Apple ID email and password you use to sign in to icloud.com. The code is fully transparent and available on GitHub.

For those who prefer an alternative way to interact with the service outside of Safari, you can always use the icloud.com website on any browser. This extension simply offers a more integrated and ergonomic browsing experience.
