Holy Bible respects your privacy. This add-on does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data with us or any third parties.

• Local storage only: Holy Bible saves your data (personal notes on verses, bookmarks/favorites, last-read position, and simple preferences like theme and text size) using the browser’s extension storage on your device.
• Sync (optional): If you enable the browser’s built-in sync, your notes/bookmarks/settings may sync between devices via the browser provider. Holy Bible itself does not receive, transmit, or process that data.
• clipboardWrite: Used only when you click “Copy verse” to place selected text + reference on your clipboard. The add-on never reads the clipboard.
• tabs (optional): Used to open or focus the reader tab and/or open cross-references in a new tab. No page content is accessed or stored.
• storage: Used to persist notes, bookmarks, reading position, and UI preferences (browser.storage.local / chrome.storage.local or *sync if you enable syncing).
• No tracking or ads: No analytics, telemetry, fingerprinting, or advertisements. No host permissions and no access to website content.
