Image Converter compresses and converts images entirely in the browser (JPEG/PNG). Key features: drag & drop or paste from clipboard, browse button, presets (Social/Messaging/Thumbnail), target-KB input, output format selection (JPEG/PNG), thumbnail preview, progress bar, and single-click download. Processing is local by default — no automatic uploads — preserving user privacy and enabling offline use.

Developer comments

All image processing occurs locally using Canvas APIs. No images are uploaded to any server unless the user explicitly triggers an upload action through an optional feature. The extension uses only the “storage” permission for saving user preferences. No telemetry, tracking, or remote code is used. Fully supports drag-and-drop, clipboard paste, and keyboard navigation.
