About this extension
IRA — Interface for Responsive Access
IRA is a lightweight Firefox add-on that lets you adapt how a web page is presented based on your current goal.
Instead of guessing intent or modifying content, IRA gives you explicit control over how information is emphasized, using simple, transparent CSS adjustments.
Reading modes
Skim
Highlights structure and headings while reducing visual noise. Useful for quickly understanding the shape of a page or scanning documentation.
Debug
Emphasizes code blocks, technical signals, and errors. Designed for reading developer documentation or troubleshooting.
Learn
Improves readability through spacing, line length, and gentle hierarchy. Supports slower, low-fatigue reading.
You can switch modes at any time using the toolbar menu, or turn IRA off instantly.
Design principles
No machine learning
No tracking or analytics
No content rewriting or summarization
CSS-only presentation changes
User-declared intent, not automated assumptions
IRA adapts presentation, not meaning.
Privacy
IRA does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data.
All behavior happens locally in your browser.
