by rocteur, 4 years agoThe more I use it, the more I like it, especially when you're typing in different languages, nothing compares to this. Not that I have found.
I think that the price for a private single person user is too expensive so I will not subscribe now but I take my hat off to you for what you are offering.

I don't understand how people rate this with any stars.. I just installed it, tested it. with:
How am I going to know if this work or not
1) it didn't mention that I had no period at the end of the line
2) it didn't complain that 'work' is not conjugated correctly.
But it did mention that there is '1 more writing issue found', learn more, but then I have to pay 4.99 a months to see the suggestion I guess..
I don't get it, or did I do something wrong ?

The reply from the developer is just as funny as this extensions inability to pick up the two errors above. Buy the premium version or fix the free version yourself ;-)

posted 4 years agoThe premium version finds more errors than the basic version, including the incorrect verb form in your example sentence. If you want to improve the free version, you're welcome to contribute to the Open Source version at https://github.com/languagetool-org/languagetool
Update: There's a free version you can contribute to and a premium version that people work on full-time. We pay these people by the revenue we get from the premium version. If there was no premium version, we couldn't pay these people. You will surely understand that.

- Rated 2 out of 5by SahOra07, an hour agoSans blague c'est le correcteur le plus recommandé alors qu'il ne connait pas des mots tout simples tel que "moi" ou "depuis" et la liste est tres longue!!! du coup il ne me sert qu'a moitié limite a rien puisque je dois moi meme rechercher les fautes non detectées! donc desolée mais hop ca dégage dans les 30 secondes qui suivront cet avis objectif... DESINSTALLATION :) et j'ai beau chercher apparemment aucun correcteur n'est efficace et/ou demande des renseignements totalement inutiles que l'on ne possede meme pas en tant qu'utilisateur lambda.(MerciApp par exemple! meme pas testé puisque je n'ai pas pu repondre a toutes leurs exigences... bref) dans l'espoir de voir un jour apparaitre un correcteur digne de ce nom et efficace sans etre trop intrusif non plus dans les conditions d'installation et bien entendu GRATUIT! a bon entendeur :)

- Sometimes can give a lot of good fixes and suggestions in replacing phrases, but I've been encountering a lot of incorrect markings. It will say to capitalize a word, specifically at the start of a new line even when it's not a new sentence (not even the start of a new paragraph). When I "add to personal dictionary" it remembers for some time, then completely forgets afterwards, telling me to change it again.
- Rated 1 out of 5by AmkiTakk, 6 days agoExtension is now premium-only. A shame, because I was a consistent user before then, even getting premium once or twice when I could afford it. Unfortunately, I have other things I need to pay for, and a spellchecker is very much not a priority. I will be getting back to my browser's default spellchecker.
