- Rated 4 out of 5by yked, 2 years agoIf you aren't ready to pay for Grammarly, this is your grammar checker of choice. Free versions of these two services are more or less similar, and both are good
However, the premium version of Grammarly is just better. Outrageously expensive and English-only -- yes. But in terms of convenience, accuracy, and usefulness, LanguageTool is not on the same level (yet?), unfortunately

- Rated 1 out of 5by Grom, 2 years agoI guess it's useful if you're terrible at writing, and it's helped me fix a couple minor errors, but overall this tool is terrible. It recommends putting commas everywhere you could possibly think of, misses a ton of grammatical errors, and is generally not useful. The thing that drove me over the edge was when it would recognize "Dursley" and "Dursley's", but would correct "Dursleys" back to "Dursley's".
It's more of a nuisance than a help.
