    Version 2.0.0

    Released Sep 15, 2026 - 20.64 KB
Works with firefox 58.0 and later
    New Features & Enhancements

UI & Theme Redesign: Completely redesigned the extension UI (popup, options page, and locked page overlay) to match the dark glassmorphism aesthetic of the official website ([https://lock-any-website.vercel.app/](https://lock-any-website.vercel.app/)). Includes cyan-to-purple glowing accents, translucent containers, and modernized typography.

Salted Password Hashing: Upgraded security architecture by introducing dynamic per-installation salt generation combined with SHA-256 hashing to prevent dictionary and rainbow table attacks.

Real-time Tab Enforcement: Updating locked sites or toggling global protection now immediately applies or removes lock overlays across all active browser tabs without requiring a page refresh.

    Bug Fixes & Security Improvements

Anti-Bypassing & Anti-Tamper Logic: Integrated a MutationObserver on the content script overlay to prevent users from bypassing page locks by deleting DOM nodes via DevTools or abusing keyboard shortcuts.

Manifest & API Compatibility: Fixed cross-browser API bindings (browser/chrome fallback handling) and ensured full Manifest V2 compliance for Firefox runtime execution.

DOM Load Locking: Content script enforcement now triggers early (document_start) to prevent website content from flashing before the overlay renders.
