Privacy policy for MailFlash — Instant Email
Last updated: June 28, 2026
MailFlash does NOT collect, store or transmit personal user information to its own servers. We do not use tracking, analytics or advertising of any kind.
The extension stores the following data only in your browser (via the browser's local storage API), and only during the lifetime of the temporary email:
- The generated temporary email address
- A temporary authentication token
- Creation and expiration timestamps
- IDs of already-viewed messages
- User's language preference
This data is automatically deleted when:
- The temporary email expires (1 hour)
- The user manually deletes the email
- The user uninstalls the extension
MailFlash uses the public API of Mail.tm (https://mail.tm) to create temporary emails and receive messages. Mail.tm has its own privacy policy available on their website.
When you create a temporary email, only the following is sent to Mail.tm:
- A randomly generated username
- A randomly generated password
No personal information about you is ever sent.
- storage: to keep the active temporary email between browser sessions
- notifications: to notify you when a new email arrives
- alarms: to periodically check for new messages and manage email expiration
- clipboardWrite: to copy the temporary email to your clipboard with one click
MailFlash does NOT use cookies. It does NOT perform any tracking. It does NOT use Google Analytics or any similar service.
We do NOT sell, rent or share user information with third parties under any circumstances.
Data is stored locally using the browser's secure storage API. Communication with Mail.tm is always performed over HTTPS.
MailFlash is not intended for users under 13 years of age.
Since we do not store data on our own servers, all your GDPR rights are automatically fulfilled when you uninstall the extension.
