Latest version
Version 5.0
Released Sep 13, 2026 - 180.44 KBWorks with firefox 58.0 and laterNew in this version- MPEG-DASH support. Streams described by an .mpd manifest are now detected
and downloaded, with the available qualities read from the manifest. - AES-128 encrypted HLS is decrypted during download, using the key declared
in the playlist. - Fragmented MP4 (CMAF) streams are supported, including initialization
segments and byte range playlists. - Subtitle tracks are detected and saved as WebVTT files, one per language.
- A failed segment is retried three times before a download gives up, and any
running download can be stopped from the same button that started it. - The whole row acts as a progress bar and shows the live segment count.
- A new Clear button empties the panel for the current tab, which matters on
sites that never reload the page. - Advertising is kept out of the list, and the popup reports how many items
were hidden. - Every switch on the settings page now does something. The ones that did
nothing have been wired up or removed.
Fixed- Files saved from a stream opened as an empty movie in VLC and QuickTime and
showed a duration of 13 or 24 hours. They are now written as a progressive
MP4 with real sample tables and the correct duration. - Playlists that address segments by byte range produced a file repeating the
same clip dozens of times. - Many streams failed silently because segment requests carried no Referer.
They now keep the context of the page they came from. - Segments from different qualities on the same site could be mixed into one
unplayable file. - A stream with a separate audio track produced a corrupt video. The audio is
now saved as its own file beside it. - Standalone .m4a and .m4v files were never listed.
- Downloads started from a private window were recorded in the normal download
history and sent normal session cookies. They now stay in the private session. - An incomplete download was saved anyway. It now stops with a clear message
instead of writing a broken file. - Peak memory use during a download has been cut by more than half.
