by Firefox user 16067312, 6 years agoI installed this ... everything slowed down to a crawl. My PC is no joke so this was a bit worrisome. This should not happen to this level of PC for a "color filter".
WORSE: I figured out why... When I installed this suddenly there was a new extra popover advertisement on youtube!!!! I instantly uninstalled.
The advertisement stopped happening after I removed this extension. DONT TOUCH unless you like extra advertisements! The injection code can explain the slowness. They need to mention they inject code for advertisements.
Its messed up to ask for donations AND advertise... Im going to report.

posted 5 years agoMidnight Lizard does not inject any ads. Source code has been verified by Mozilla reviewers and certainly is safe.
The problem with YouTube you described might be due to ad blocking extension you are using could not block the ad soon enough so you saw the beginning. YouTube is quite heavy website, but they have built-in dark theme so you can disable Midnight Lizard there by Alt+Shift+L keyboard shortcut.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18870877, 6 months agodoesn't let you create your own color schemes instead uses some bullsht "color scheme generator" which is badly designed.
to the reply: hmm I wonder why people wanted simple colors? is it maybe because THERE IS NO WAY TO INPUT A COLOR YOU ACTUALLY WANT AND YOU JUST HAVE TO EYEBALL ITDeveloper response
posted 6 months agoColor scheme generator was introduced since some users wanted to operate with simple colors, but creation of color schemes is possible from the beginning - just make changes to one of the existing color schemes and save the changes as new color scheme or update the existing one. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 19060098, 6 months agoI can't read white text on a black background without my eyes hurting a lot so this has been AMAZING.

I need to turn off the add-on, reload the page and turn on the add-on again to see the page. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18611515, a year ago

- Rated 4 out of 5by curlew, 2 years agogreat, but tricky to pinpoint filter setting affects and how they affect each other! youtube is also weird and its impossible to read text overlaying a video unless you highlight it, no matter what filter settings you change.

Just wish clicking icon on panel could switch on/off. - Rated 3 out of 5by MattToronto, 2 years agoGets the job done, but the omission of a simple per-site toggle is baffling.
