Multi-Viewer for IDN Live by Maneki Ngidol

Multi-Viewer for IDN Live is a free, fan-made browser extension that lets you watch many IDN Live broadcasts at the same time in a single lightweight workspace — no more juggling dozens of heavy browser tabs.


Opening one tab per streamer piles up analytics scripts, gift animations and full page layouts. RAM and CPU spike, fans spin, the browser freezes. This extension replaces all of that with one clean page and raw HLS video.

• Native HLS playback (Video.js + VHS) — plays the raw .m3u8 stream directly. No embed iframes, no third-party trackers. 4-8+ simultaneous streams on a normal laptop, with GPU hardware decoding.
• Dedicated workspace — open https://www.idn.app/multiview and the page becomes a full-screen multi-viewer. A floating button on regular IDN pages opens a side drawer instead.
• Continuous grid with smart aspect ratio — up to 8 streams per row, auto-adjusting for 1/2/3/4/6/8 streams. Vertical (9:16) and horizontal (16:9) broadcasts are detected automatically, so widescreen streams span two columns without black bars.
• Lingkaran Live (story bar) — Instagram-style ring of avatars for everyone currently live. Click to add, click again to scroll to that slot.
• Live chat overlay — calm Instagram-style chat drawn over the video. Colour-coded commenter names, a 50-message buffer to stay memory-safe, and a dedicated wss://chat.idn.app/ connection so chat never affects video performance.
• Chat as yourself or anonymously — logged-in IDN accounts post under their own profile; anonymous viewers set a display name once, stored locally.
• Real-time viewer count — viewer-count + LIVE badge fed by live room viewer events.
• 1-click clean view — the per-slot Chat toggle defaults to OFF, hiding both chat and the viewer badge for a completely clean video.
• Multi-audio master control — unmute several streams at once, plus a global Suara Multi ON / Mute Semua switch.
• Offline detection and auto-recovery — silent reconnect on network hiccups; if a broadcaster actually ends the stream, the slot shows an offline notice with a close button.
• Mobile and tablet friendly — works in Chromium browsers on Android that support extensions (e.g. Kiwi, Yandex). Two-column portrait grid, touch-sized controls, and a fullscreen button that hides the browser address bar.
• Category filter — switch between JKT48 members only, or all streamers on IDN Live.

No backend server, no analytics, no trackers. Nothing is transmitted to the developer or to any third party. Everything runs locally in your browser and talks only to IDN's own domains.
