NODUS Workspace — Privacy Policy

NODUS Workspace is local-first. Your documents, spreadsheets, PDFs, web clips, notes and drawings are stored on your own device and are never uploaded to us or anyone else. You don't need an account to use the extension.

WHAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE
All content you create or import is kept locally in your browser. We do not read, transmit, or analyze it.

WHAT IS SENT, WHEN, AND WHY
1) NODUS PRO license — only if you choose to activate PRO, the extension sends your subscription email and a one-way SHA-256 hash of basic device attributes (a "fingerprint") to our licensing endpoint, solely to confirm your plan and bind it to your devices. We send the hash only, never the raw values. If you never activate PRO, nothing is sent.
2) Spotlight / promotions — to show the in-panel promotional area, the extension fetches the current items from our endpoints and, on impression/click, sends only the promotion identifier. No personal data, cookies, email or browsing history is attached.

Like any web request, our servers (Cloudflare) receive the request and may transiently log technical metadata such as IP for delivery and abuse prevention; it is not combined with your content.

WHAT WE DO NOT DO
We do not upload or read your files. We do not sell or rent data. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. We do not build advertising profiles.

SECURITY
Optional backups are encrypted with AES-256 (PBKDF2). No remote code: all executable code ships inside the extension.
