Privacy policy for PaperEyes
Last updated: June 30, 2025
PaperEyes does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
All settings (texture intensity, grain size, blend mode, and enabled domains) are stored exclusively on your device using Firefox's local storage API. No data is sent over the network to any server.
The extension requests the following permissions:
- storage — to save your settings locally on your device
- activeTab — to read the URL of the current tab, so settings can be applied per domain
- tabs — to refresh the overlay on open tabs when settings are changed
- host permissions — to inject the visual overlay into web pages
