About this extension
Perev is a hover dictionary for reading Russian on the web. Point your mouse at any Russian word to get an instant popup with the word's stressed form, transliteration (BGN/PCGN), part of speech, English translation, frequency rank, and CEFR level (A1–C2).
Features:
-Conjugation and declension tables in a dedicated tab (verbs show present/past side by side)
-Aspect pair links for verbs (perfective ↔ imperfective) — Click the copy icon to copy the word to clipboard
-Text-to-speech pronunciation
-Alt+P keyboard shortcut to toggle hover on/off
-Per-site disable via the toolbar popup
-Light and dark themes
Dictionary data is sourced from OpenRussian (CC BY-SA 4.0), covering 100,000+ word forms with grammar annotations. No data is collected or transmitted: everything runs locally in your browser.
