Price Genius by GoGoNano is built with privacy as our top priority. Unlike many browser extensions, we don't collect, transmit, or sell your data. This privacy policy explains exactly how the extension works and what data is stored.

What Data We Store (Locally Only)
All data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's local storage API. We store:

Product Information: URLs, titles, prices, and images of products you visit
Price History: Historical price data for tracked products
Settings: Your preferences for notifications, check frequency, and tracking duration
Extension State: Internal flags for tracking which products are being monitored
What We DON'T Collect
We don't track your browsing history
We don't collect personal information (name, email, address, etc.)
We don't transmit any data to external servers
We don't use analytics or tracking scripts
We don't sell or share your data with third parties
We don't access non-shopping websites
How Price Checking Works
When the extension checks prices:

It makes direct requests to product pages (Amazon, eBay, Walmart, etc.) on your behalf
These requests appear as if you visited the page yourself
The extension extracts only the current price from the page
No data is sent to GoGoNano or any third-party servers
Price data is stored only on your local device
Permissions Explained
The extension requires certain permissions to function. Here's why we need each one:

Access to e-commerce sites: To detect products and check prices on supported stores
Storage: To save tracked products and price history on your device
Notifications: To alert you when prices drop
Alarms: To schedule automatic price checks every few hours
Tabs: To detect when you're viewing product pages
Data Retention
You have full control over your data:

Products are automatically removed after your chosen tracking duration (7-60 days)
You can manually delete individual products at any time
You can clear all data instantly from the Settings page
Uninstalling the extension removes all stored data from your device
Third-Party Services
Price Genius does not use any third-party services, analytics, or tracking tools. The extension operates entirely on your device.

Children's Privacy
Price Genius does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Since we don't collect any data at all, there is no risk to children's privacy.

Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update this page and notify users through the extension. The current version is always available in the extension settings.
