About this extension
Privacy Cookie Injector sets a predefined set of cookies on your own website(s), driven by a JSON config file you host yourself (a GitHub Gist, a repo file, or any HTTPS endpoint you control). Common uses: automatically applying a consent cookie during development/QA, seeding test cookies on staging environments, or keeping cookie values in sync across a fleet of sites without redeploying code.
How it works
You create a cookie-config.json file listing your domain(s) and the cookies to set, and host it anywhere that returns raw JSON.
Paste that URL into the extension popup and click "Save & Fetch."
The extension checks the config against the site you're visiting and sets matching cookies. It also re-fetches your config every 30 minutes in the background, so edits you make to the hosted file are picked up automatically — no extension update required.
Features
Remote, editable cookie configuration (no hardcoded values)
Per-site domain and subdomain matching
Manual "Inject now" button for the current tab
Activity log of recent cookie injections
One-click enable/disable toggle
The extension only acts on the domains you list in your own config file and does not collect or transmit any personal data.
