Rec Local collects nothing, sends nothing, and has nowhere to send it to. No account, and no way to create one. No analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting. No server. The extension makes no network requests of any kind.

WHAT IS STORED, AND WHERE
Your recorder settings, and a licence key if you buy one, are kept in this browser's local storage. Sync storage is never written, so nothing travels to your browser account or to other devices. A licence is verified inside the extension against a public key built into it; activating one contacts nothing.

YOUR RECORDINGS
Recordings are produced by your browser and written where you choose. They are never uploaded, and there is no server that could receive them.

SMART ZOOM
Smart zoom is optional and off by default. When you switch it on, it injects a small script into the one tab you chose to record. That script reports the pointer's position as two fractions of the window and reads no page content. It is switched off the moment the recording ends, and its permission is never requested unless you turn the feature on.
