by Jeanne, 2 years agoI've been using Roboform for over 30 years. Started as a resident download only. Even then it was robust, too robust, actually. Help files, such as they were, were written by programmers and in techie words. I stayed with it and gradually figured out how to use the more complicated features, besides logins.
The problem now -- writing this for Firefox extension using Windows 11 -- is that the extension doesn't actually show in Firefox, even though it is installed.
In 1983 I had one of the first at least 50k IBM AT computers running DOS 1.1 or thereabouts. Very rudimentary. I learned as software came along. This extension for Mozilla Firefox is so complex that there is nothing within any documentation to help it work correctly. Lots of explanations, but no real help. I read everything and search before asking for help. The help search which returns old Q&A rarely answers my questions.
Seems every software uses this sort of community system along with what user manuals they have. There should have been a "law" that ONLY new users be allowed to write manuals and help systems, so they are not written by engineers who already know all the is and outs. Oh, well. I will keep using RF and its extensions, but like everything else it gets bigger and more and more to the point where it outlives its original purpose and is so complex as to make it close to useless.
Our capitalist system works when companies expand, make more money, etc. It is too bad most software isn't "fixed" before more things are added. But then companies couldn't add new features to compete and make more money. I don't know the answer to any of this. I don't think there is one.
I still recommend RF to people. I've never had any sort of breach.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 19509674, 21 days agoTwo windows 11 pro pc units, cannot add extension to toolbar in firefox. Multiple tickets that can't be fixed from the lack of support. They hold your sign in credentials hostage and or may delete them at anytime. Multiple issues with security such as having to make sure it doesn't stay signed in indefinitely. You better keep multiple copies of your sign in information or you will be having to redo constantly.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Veter, 2 months agoAwful premium support. I have a lagging roboform addon on my installation. The "premium" support without any measurements or logging rejects to help me. Without any reason and checking they say the problem in firefox, not addon. They reject to make any logs or debugs or anything else.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Alex Max, 3 months agoI have used RoboForm for over 15 years and have always been happy with its functionality, security and customer support. Roboform has dramatically increased my online security and saved me a lot of time when filling in forms. I can't imagine living in the modern world without a good password manager. RoboForm is the best!

- Rated 5 out of 5by Artisansdjj, 3 months agoI don't recall how long I've been using RoboForm, but it's been a while. After several other app options just didn't work well enough, I found RoboForm and haven't looked back. It's very easy to use. It warns me of overused or potentially compromised passwords. It provides generated complex password. It keeps track of when I've changed a password, the date, and what the previous password does.
When I need support, RoboForm is great - helping find a solution or noting a problem for a fix in a future release (the last problem I brought them was fixed within days.)
I highly recommend RoboForm. - Rated 4 out of 5by Thomas, 3 months agoThis is about RoboForm, The extension has worked for years, but after the firefox update, it has stopped working.
