The following explains the privacy policy that applies to the VPN.AC SecureProxy add-on.

We do not collect browsing data regardless of add-on state (connected/not connected to our servers).
We do not use embedded tracking tools such as Google Analytics or similar to collect addon usage data.

For IP and geo-location information displayed within the addon, we use our own geo-location service and we do not store access history (the geo-location webserver's access.log is directed to /dev/null).
Also, we do not send such information to 3rd party services (e.g. through 3rd party APIs) since we are not using external geo-location services for IP/location info.

The following permissions are required by the VPN.AC SecureProxy add-on to operate:

- Access your data for all websites:
Generic permission required in order to be able to use a proxy connection for web browsing on all URLs.

- Read and modify privacy settings:
Generic permission required for saving the user preferences such as the proxy authentication credentials, also for blocking WebRTC requests to protect against WebRTC IP leaking.

- Control browser proxy settings:
Generic permission required in order to use a proxy connection.
