About this extension
Send to QNAP++ lets you send downloads directly to a QNAP NAS running Download Station, so files are downloaded by your NAS instead of your browser.
With a simple right-click, you can send torrents, magnet links, and direct file URLs (ISO, ZIP, MP4, MP3, PDF, EPUB, and more) straight to Download Station. You can also paste multiple download links directly into the extension.
For monitoring your downloads, a real-time status view shows live progress for active downloads on your NAS.
⚠️IMPORTANT⚠️
─── ◇ ───
[ Settings ]
Go to Settings (⚙️) and enter your NAS connection details (address, port, etc). Click Test to verify the connection, then Save to store the settings.
For "Temp folder" and "Move-to folder", enter the shared folder name exactly as it exists on your NAS. For example, if the shared folder within the NAS is named "Temp", then enter Temp. Shared folders can be viewed in your NAS - Control Panel → Shared Folders. You may optionally specify a subfolder within the shared folder (e.g. Temp/downloads). Do not enter filesystem paths or leading slashes.
HTTPS Certificate Note
If your QNAP NAS is accessed over HTTPS, your browser must trust the NAS certificate before this extension can connect. Visit the following URL and accept the security warning:
• Not required when accessing the NAS over HTTP.
Step 1: Navigate to https://<NAS_IP_ADDRESS>:<PORT>/cgi-bin/authLogin.cgi
eg. https://192.168.1.2/cgi-bin/authLogin.cgi
Step 2: The page "Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead" will display. Select "Advanced"
Step 3: Select "Accept the Risk and Continue"
Done.
[ Usage ]
On any webpage, right-click any file URL and select Send to QNAP++ from the context menu. The file is sent to your QNAP NAS and downloaded by Download Station. Progress can be monitored directly within the extension.
