Snap Links Plus by Clint Priest

by Tux, 8 years agoWith the update to firefox 53, snap links v2 stopped working on me. I installed Snap links plus. For some reason the initial explanation panel does not appear if you are not making a clean install (without snap links 2) so I thought for a long time that it simply didn't work.
After checking the comments here I found the config page ( http://cpriest.github.io/SnapLinksPlus/welcome.html ) and learned how to use the "lasso". It's better than nothing, but less effective than selecting different cells on a table -> right click -> Open on X tabs that you could use with the previous version.
When you right click to use the lasso, the contextual menu opens at the same time, which makes the usage less than ideal, then it opens the tabs automatically. Not bad per se, but for me it's a step back from what we had previously.

Cons : some sites using modifier pressed to use it : need a blacklist ;) + no free key modifier like letters (z or L etc...) - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 19508687, 21 days ago

Little bug : when using rect drag and touching the bottom of the screen, the web page is not scrolling as it should.
A fix would be greatly appreciated - Rated 5 out of 5by theredwolf, 4 months ago

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 17131595, 7 months agoI do love the addon, but the not working part is getting worse. Yes, putting it up to 120% helps a little, but I dont want to live in 120%, nor should I have to for an addon to work, imo. Been really frustrating trying to get this to work without popping links when I do not want it to, or completely not being able to capture them at all.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Tyrone, a year agoThe only reason why I rate this 4 and not 5 is because of my ADHD, I keep forgetting it exists, so if you could allow this addon to be pinned to the toolbar, it would significantly help. Thank you!
