What data we collect
When you use Straightpipe, we collect some information from you that you both knowingly provide us, or automatically send when using our extension. By using Straightpipe, you consent to us collecting the following information about you:

• Your searches and search queries. We process and store these on our servers to help us debug and identify issues to improve and provide our services.
• Your location. We temporarily process location data to provide autocomplete suggestions for your suburb and postcode. These are never stored on our servers.
• Feedback and bug reports you provide. If you choose to submit feedback, we store this on our servers to identify issues and improve our services. You can optionally choose to provide additional debugging information including your most recent search and current URL of the page you are on to help with this process.

When transmitting data to our servers from your browser, we use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS) to protect data being transmitted.

Why we collect it
We collect your information solely to improve and provide services to you. We process and store your searches and queries to quickly resolve problems, and location data is processed to enable location autocomplete. Feedback helps us improve our services.

Where is your data stored
Your searches are stored both locally in your browser, and on our servers. Your location data such as your postcode is stored locally in your browser, and is only temporarily processed on our servers to provide autocomplete. We store submitted feedback on our servers.

Data is retained indefinitely on our servers. You can ask use to delete data linked to your account on our servers at any time.

Who do we share your data with
We do not sell, share or distribute your data to third parties without your explicit and informed consent, excluding parties who are required to provide our services, such as hosting or database providers.

You are in control
You can clear your locally stored searches at any time by clicking the ‘delete’ button next to each search. You can change your location at any time, your old location will no longer be stored.

You can delete relevant cookies and local storage to permanently remove locally stored data.

We may update this policy at any time, and when we do, you will be notified through the extension if significant changes are made.
