StreamX does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers.
All data used by the extension remains on the user's device unless the user explicitly chooses to send it to their own local backend server.

Data Usage

StreamX may access cookies from the active tab only when the user initiates a download.

These cookies are used solely to authenticate the download request and are never stored, never shared, and never transmitted to any third-party service.

If the user enables WebRTC recording, media data is recorded locally and may be sent only to the user's own server at http://127.0.0.1:5000
, if configured.

Local Storage

StreamX stores the following locally on the user’s device:

Download history and statistics

User settings (theme, proxies, server address, etc.)

Kept tabs (Always Active preferences)

Users may delete this data at any time through the extension’s settings.

No Third-Party Sharing

StreamX:

Does not send data to remote or third-party servers

Does not use analytics, tracking scripts, or advertising networks

Does not collect browsing history or personal identifiers

User Control

All data processing is initiated by the user.
The extension can be reset or uninstalled at any time, removing all stored data.
