by bhupi, 8 years agoI was running version 2.11 I upgraded to ver3 and when I click on stylish preferences I get this error:
An error as occurred using the Stylish database. Would you like to visit a web page with possible solutions?
This is the page I get taken to: https://userstyles.org/help/db_chrome
The page I get taken to shows how to fix a problem with Stylish in the Chrome browser. I am using Firefox v56 on ubuntu. I say to myself, ok I am not using any custom Stylish pages so I will just uninstall Stylish and install Stylish ver3 from scratch. I install the latest Stylish version and I still get the above error when going into preferences. So I google fixing Stylish database in firefox and go to this page:
https://userstyles.org/help/db
It says to remove the stylish.sqlite file which I find under my firefox profile folder, so I uninstall Stylish from firefox, delete the stylish.sqlite file and re-install Stylish. I STILL get the error above and I don't see any stylish.sqlite file under my firefox folder. So the latest version of Stylish is unusable for me. I am going back to V2.11.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Сырное, 6 days agoF Y! The style site does not work - the developer has built in protection against browsers. Not a single browser could access his site, although the protection frame was loaded. I don’t have protections enabled - why doesn’t it work?

- Rated 1 out of 5by Sean Nava, 4 months agoThis so-called addon is nothing but Spyware (even for being here on Firefox its web doesn't load on Firefox but it does on Chrome). Stylus is much better and safe

...the hello kitty youtube theme looked okay, but I wanted one with mroe pink, so I tried to search. It said "bad gateway". I will not return. - Rated 1 out of 5by K., 5 months ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by Raven9000, a year agoConsider uninstalling the malicious Stylish extension. In 2016, with no input from the userbase, through some guy, pretending to be an independent developer, it basically was sold to a shady web analytics company, Similarweb. Since then, it is actively sharing your entire non-anonymized browsing history demo with them, assuming you ever clicked on one of the flashy "Agree" buttons. It initially did this without even asking for consent, and was banned from extension stores afterwards. Currently, it still breaks store policies, yet is not banned for unknown reasons. A safe alternative is Stylus.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Marty, a year agoThis extension is a complete hoax. The homepage userstyles.org is not accessible with the Firefox browser. On all Chrome-based sites, userstyles.org is accessible without any problems. It's a shame how Firefox users are being fooled here.
