SubText shows two subtitle lines at once, the original and a translation, so you can learn languages while watching the shows you already love.

Features:
- Dual Subtitles: original & translation, synced to playback.
- Three translation modes: context-aware AI translations, machine translations, or the site's own caption track.
- Word Hover: hover over a word for its meaning.
- Phrase Selection: select a phrase for its translation.
- Click on a word for a deeper breakdown: definition, part of speech, base form, and an example sentence.
- Hear it out loud: play the pronunciation of a word or phrase.
- Expression Highlights: SubText detects expressions such as idioms, phrasal verbs, collocations, sayings, and slang, allowing you to choose which kinds to highlight and in what color.
- Follow-Along: words light up as they're spoken (for videos that support it).
- Save to your library: save the words, phrases, and expressions you find to your personal library. Review them later with study tools like flashcards, quizzes, and the ability to create your own study sets on subtext.site.
