Swap is a currency converter that runs entirely in your browser. It is built to
do its job without collecting anything about you.

What we collect

Nothing. The extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal
information. There are no analytics, no tracking, no accounts, and no
identifiers of any kind.

Data that stays on your device

Your preferences — the last amount you entered, your chosen currency pair, and a
short-lived cache of exchange rates — are saved locally using the browser's
extension storage. This data never leaves your device and is removed if you
uninstall the extension.

Exchange rate requests

To show current rates, the extension requests reference exchange-rate data from
the Frankfurter API (api.frankfurter.app, with api.frankfurter.dev as a
fallback), which publishes European Central Bank rates. These requests contain
only currency codes (for example, "USD"). The amount you enter is never sent
anywhere — all conversion math happens locally in the extension.

As with any web request, the rate provider's servers receive your IP address by
the nature of the connection. We do not control and are not responsible for the
provider's own handling of that information; see frankfurter.dev for their terms.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published with the
extension's listing.
