About this extension
TabWatch shows you exactly how long each browser tab has been open — down to the minute. If you keep tabs open as reminders or placeholders, this makes the problem impossible to ignore.
CORE FEATURES
Time tracking — every tab is timestamped the moment it loads. Durations update live and persist across browser restarts. Refreshing a page keeps the timer running; navigating to a new URL resets it.
Domain time tracking — see how much active time you spend on each site, broken down by day. A Screen Time-inspired view shows daily totals, a bar chart of recent history, and your most-visited domains. Toggle between today, 7-day, and 30-day views.
Visit counter — tracks how many times you have activated each tab. Persists even after the tab is closed, so you can see which tabs you keep coming back to versus the ones sitting idle.
Sort and search — sort by duration (longest open first, by default) or by title. Search filters by title or URL instantly.
Jump or close — click any row to switch to that tab and window. Hover to reveal an X button that closes the tab without leaving the popup.
Close stale tabs — a banner warns you when tabs have been open longer than your threshold (default: 7 days). One click closes them all, with undo.
Close duplicates — TabWatch detects tabs sharing the same URL and offers a one-click close. Pinned tabs and the leftmost copy are always kept; copies to its right close.
Tab groups — where your browser supports tab groups, TabWatch shows each tab's group name and color as a pill.
Pinned tabs — pinned tabs appear in their own collapsible section at the top, separate from the main list.
Domain grouping — group your tab list by domain to see how many tabs you have open per site.
Keyboard navigation — arrow keys to move through the list, Enter to jump to a tab, Escape to close the popup, and keys 1 through 5 to jump directly to the first five tabs. Alt+T opens the popup from any page.
