Thank you for using Tesseract, a Chrome extension dashboard homepage developed by
Tesseract ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and
protect your information when you use Tesseract (the "Extension"). By installing and using the
Extension, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Tesseract enhances your browsing experience by providing widgets such as an analog clock,
changer. To provide these features, we may collect the following types of information:
a. Personal Information
● Geolocation Data: The Weather Widget and Map Widget use your IP address to
determine your approximate location (latitude and longitude) for weather updates and
map display. This data is processed locally and not stored by us.
● User-Provided Data:
○ The To-Do List Widget allows you to input tasks, which are stored locally on your
device.
○ The Background Changer allows you to upload images or videos, which are
stored locally and applied as your background.
○ The Music Player Widget allows you to search for and play music, but no
personal data is collected from this feature beyond your search input, which is
processed locally.
b. Third-Party Data
● Weather Data: The Weather Widget uses the Open-Meteo API to fetch weather
information based on your geolocation.

● TradingView: The Stocks Widget uses TradingView’s embedded iframe to display stock
data.
● Google Maps: The Map Widget uses an embedded Google Maps iframe with default
coordinates (0,0), updated via JavaScript based on geolocation.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
● Provide and maintain the functionality of the Extension’s widgets (e.g., displaying
weather updates, rendering maps, playing music).
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.
3. How We Share Your Information
We may share your information in the following circumstances:
● Third-Party Service Providers: We rely on third-party APIs and services (e.g.,
Open-Meteo, Google Maps, TradingView) to power certain widgets. These providers
may process your data according to their own privacy policies:

4. Data Storage and Security
● Local Storage: Data such as your to-do list tasks, background uploads, and music
search inputs are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.
5. Your Choices
● Geolocation: You can disable geolocation access in your browser settings to prevent
the Weather and Map Widgets from determining your location.
● To-Do List: You can delete tasks at any time, as they are stored locally.
● Uninstallation: You can remove the Extension at any time through your Chrome
browser settings, which will stop all data collection.
6. Cookies and Tracking
Tesseract does not use cookies or tracking technologies directly. However, third-party services
embedded in the Extension (e.g., Google Maps, TradingView) may use cookies or similar
technologies. Please refer to their respective privacy policies for details.
7. Children’s Privacy
Tesseract is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect
personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that such information has
been collected, we will take steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted here
with a revised "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
