TUPlan Grade Reporter by Jonathan

TUPlan collects how exams at TU Darmstadt actually go, so you are not guessing when you plan a semester.

This extension connects TUCaN to that data, in both directions.

SHOWING
Beside courses in TUCaN you get the reported grade average: in the registration view, in the course search, anywhere TUCaN links a course. Hover it and the whole distribution opens: the histogram from 1.0 to 5.0, the average across all semesters, the average weighted by cohort size, and every semester on its own.

REPORTING
Open a course's Notenspiegel in TUCaN and a button appears there. One click reports that course's grade distribution to TUPlan. Without the click, nothing happens.

WHAT THE CLICK SENDS
• Course number, title and semester
• The count for each grade, 1.0 through 5.0
• The average and the number of results available
• The counts for missing and differently-graded results

WHAT IS NEVER SENT
• Your name, your matriculation number, your own grade
• Cookies or session data
• Which courses you are looking at
• Anything at all from any other website

The display works without our server learning what is on your screen: the extension downloads the public grade summary and matches it inside your browser. The request contains no course number. Your timetable stays your business.

The table it reads is the aggregate cohort statistic TUCaN already shows to every enrolled student.

The data comes from students. Every report makes the display more complete for everyone else.

The extension activates only on tucan.tu-darmstadt.de. On every other page it does nothing. The extension itself carries no analytics, no advertising and no trackers.
