About this extension
Browser tracking for Vetroscope. Pairs with the Vetroscope app to log per-site and per-video time.
Before installing, make sure you have the Vetroscope desktop application installed.
Vetroscope is an automatic screen time tracking app for macOS and Windows that quietly keeps track of how much time you spend in apps, files, websites, and media and syncs across multiple devices.
The Vetroscope browser extension allows for deeper insight into how you spend your time in the browser. The extension automatically pairs with the Vetroscope app on your computer and allows Vetroscope to know what media you consume online. The best part is it tracks the time you spend watching videos or listening to music in parallel with whatever you are actually working on. That passive time spent watching is logged separately as background time. This provides more interesting insight into not just what you were working on, but what you were watching or listening to while you worked.
The browser extension pairs with the local Vetroscope desktop app only. It reads URLs/titles/media metadata for time tracking, with configuration to ignore user specified URLs. Data stays local on-device, unless the user opts into Vetroscope Cloud where data is synced and end-to-end encrypted.
