VibeWriter Browser Extension Privacy Policy

This extension is designed to perform text transformations and sync word balances for registered users. Our privacy guidelines are as follows:

1. Data Collection: Our extension does not collect or track any personal data or browsing history. It only reads the user's email address and user ID to synchronize with their vibewrite.live account, storing this session info securely in the browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local).
2. Data Transmission and Processing: When a user requests a text transformation, the highlighted text is securely transmitted via HTTPS to our backend API (vibewrite.live/api/transform) to be processed using the Google Gemini API. The transmitted text is processed transiently to return the output, is never permanently stored on our servers, and is never logged.
3. Third-Party Sharing: We do not sell, share, or distribute any user data (emails or text content) to third parties for marketing, advertising, or tracking purposes.
