by Firefox user 18668043, 5 months agoUsing on Linux, the latest version causes Firefox to become unresponsive. Eventually, a warning pops up to say this addon is causing slow down. Just to test, installed older version, ver. 1.5.14.1 and it works again.

posted 5 months agoHi thanks for telling me, I'd very much like to investigate this more. Could you please file a bug with this report on my Github (https://github.com/artisticfox8/yt-anti-translate)? Please also add which addons you're using, which version of Firefox are you on :)
(I'd talk here, but this review section only allows me one reply so it's cumbersome for longer conversations)

Add-on works great, i don't have the quality setting issue some people are reporting either. - Rated 5 out of 5by ff-user_num, a month ago

- Rated 4 out of 5by Sakujo, a month agoWhile it does seam to work (haven't had translated videos in a while), it does also slow down video load by a lot. Sometimes half a minute per video load. Maybe an issue with some combination of other YT plugins I have. But when this plugin is enabled it is definitely part of the cause. Disabled, videos load fast, in seconds. Other plugins I use: ublock origin, Sponsor block, youtube repeat button, return youtube dislike, remove youtube endcard, blocktube, auto high quality for YT. I don't want to rate it low, that wouldn't be fair, but obviously there is some issue.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Bueno, a month agoIt does work, but for some reason when I use it, the only option for quality youtube offers is 360p. Can't use lower or higher resolution.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 18146655, a month agoDoes not work for me on mobile because it interferes with play-back of any video.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 19475905, a month agoIt works, but unfortunately, it's overzealous. When I try to change the audio track or automatically translate subtitles, the add-on won't let me. This limitation of functionality is a no-go for me.
Edit:
Thanks for answer. If there is no way to know where the change came it is not fair to rate so low. Changed to four :)Developer response
posted a month agoThe addon has no way of knowing if the change came from you or from YouTube. If you want, you can always disable the addon (it has a quick menu, see screenshots) and turn it on later - Rated 3 out of 5by Devin Rozsas, 2 months agoIt works with some things, such as chapters (and not really that well), and video titles on my feed are still translated.
