About this extension
🔗 A fork of github.com/a-fan9823/youtube-timestamps
⚙️ Source code is github.com/nhantrichuyenanh/youtube-timestamps

⌨️ Functionality:
• While hovering a timestamp, scroll up or down to view hidden text and other comments.
• Middle click a timestamp to open the comment in a new tab.

🎯 Bring the Timed comments from mobile (sometimes it appears, sometimes not) to web, but better!

⚠️ Please click Read more.
Developer comments
NOTE:
• Upon adding this add-on, please immediately go to about:addons and manually tweak the settings for it to start working. This feature is intentional and a reminder that this add-on is experimental.
• Too many timestamps within a period of time (like image no. 1) can show too many comment overlays at once and make it hard to find the exact timestamp you want. I unfortunately can't do anything about it.
• I highly recommend go full screen for timestamps and/or comment overlays that have long text (check image no. 2).
• SponsorBlock is supported, though its segments could make it hard to find the timestamps.
• Miniplayer will break this add-on... will fix it somehow (YouTube's SPA is finicky).
• Because this add-on is using YouTube's internal API, there's no rate limit! A few YouTube-related add-ons and userscripts also use it, so it's legal and won't violate YouTube's ToS.
• YouTube doesn't make it easy to just middle click and automatically scrolls down to view Highlighted comment, so open new tab is the best I can do.
• If you want to like/reply a comment, please middle click to open it as a new tab. This add-on is already complex enough (T_T).
• Timestamps and comment overlays with formatted text (bold, italic, strikethrough) are rendered as normal one. Sincerely sorry!
• If you use custom YouTube theme, timestamps and comment overlays will still be either white/dark.
• Does not work for shorts and livestreams (while they're live of course, not when they are videos).
• YouTube's custom emojis aren't rendered as images (because YouTube treats Unicode and custom emojis as images) but as text.
• Potentially duplicate comment overlays? Going back to a timestamp too many times or timestamp with too many comments can cause this bug.
• Replies aren't shown because, from my experience, not that many people reply with timestamps.

TODO: Please check GitHub repo! (because developer comments have a character limit of 3000 and I can't fit all TODO here)
