About this extension

Why use many buttons when one button is all you need?

ytTurtleTurbo puts a single icon at the bottom of the YouTube player and
gives it two speeds you choose.

- Click it to flip between Turtle and Turbo.
- Drag it up to raise your Turbo speed, down to lower your Turtle speed.
- Double-click to drop to an unmodified 1x.

Set Turtle to 1.0 and Turbo to 1.8 and you have one button between "I want
to hear this properly" and "get on with it". Both speeds are yours to set,
anywhere from 0.0625x to 16x, and your mode carries over to the next video
so you are not resetting it constantly.

ACCESSIBILITY

Every action works without a mouse, without a drag, and without a
double-click. A one-gesture speed switch is no use if the gesture is one
you cannot make.

- Keyboard: Alt+Shift+S toggles Turtle and Turbo, Alt+Shift+N drops to 1x.
  The button is reachable with Tab and responds to Enter, Space and the
  arrow keys.
- Screen readers: speed changes are announced through a polite live
  region, debounced so a drag reports where it settled rather than every
  step on the way.
- Low vision: the button can be set to 28, 34, 44 or 56 pixels, and a high
  contrast mode makes it solid black with a white outline so it does not
  have to compete with the video behind it. It can also be pinned visible
  so it never fades away with YouTube's controls.
- Motor: dragging is never the only route to anything. Arrow keys set
  speeds and a nine-point grid in settings positions the button, so there
  is a single-pointer alternative to every dragging movement. Double-click
  can be switched off entirely.
- prefers-reduced-motion and forced-colors are both honoured automatically.
