This used to work the best but from past few years it sounds like shit and we can not do anything about it .....Pleaaase bring back the audio quality back..... now it sounds too robotics impossible to understand moreover the extension lags a lot.. there is no good read aloud extension out there for firefox.... in window speechify and natural reader works the best but here on firefox there's none. Please do something read aloud is our only hope

Read Aloud worked great for a few years but now it does not work. The spinner comes up and words get highlighted but that is all that happens.

I'm not sure how you screw up this plugin so badly. It use to work great, now it sounds terrible! I can barely understand what the robotic voice says and the best part is that you can't change it because there are about 2 million options in the drop-down and it takes 5 minutes to load after clicking on it.

Was working well under Linux until recently, when the voice started sounding like a neck box, like other reports

the voice sounds like it has emphysima and is speeking through a neck box. Why?

Makes it so you cant copy and paste in any other application. The voices are grating and annoying to listen to. Unfortunately I havent found anything else with a better voice. The option to change voices other then the first few dont work having you run a script that doesnt work and having you basically write your own code to make the others work.

Asks me to grant additional permissions every half 15 minutes. It is a waste of time and a terrible distraction.

In my language (Czech), it's like listening to a robot. Try the Edge browser, it has the reader already installed and it's perfect.

Every time I start it, it wants me to grant additional permissions. Additional? I gave it the permissions it needed when I ran it the first time so why do I have to give it additional permissions every day I run it? I want it to be given all the permissions it needs to run and make that permanent. Instead, you have to go through a tedious rigmerole of opening a webpage, scrolling down and clicking on a speak button, then tick a box saying you are not a robot EVERY TIME you use it! No! I won't do that.

Constantly asking to change permissions on Android. It became so annoying I had to remove it altogether.

The default voice is unintelligible and the other voices are not much better. This is a joke of an app.
