I really like this extension, but unfortunately it hides playlists as well and breaks fullscreen mode when playing from a playlist

It works exactly as it's supposed to! I've been using it to block the shorts, even though I've told Youtube not to show me them, and this works the trick!

Its amazing but, when the video is playing in full screen and when i scroll i get recommendations. can you remove that please.

tl;dr: Not updated in two years, likely abandoned and you should avoid it. Will cause unexpected issues sooner or later.

Used to be good and greatly improved the YouTube experience but hasn't been updated in two years as of writing and functionality is breaking more and more as YouTube changes. Unless you only want a specific thing function and can confirm it does that, don't expect it to work smoothly. Expect changes from YouTube to have unexpected consequences at any time.

Abandoned, high ratings are 2+ years old. Unhook has a symbiotic relationship with "Improve YouTube!" -- both are broken as of 2026 without the other. Features breaking with every new YT and FF update,eg, Endcards no longer hide. Feels like the end of an era of peak YouTube extensions

This extension partially stopped working in November 2025. After researching alternatives, I believe that the following one is the most up to date and fully featured: "UnTrap for YouTube"
