I recently couldn't figure out why YouTube videos were taking so long to begin playing (I'm talking 30-60+ seconds). It wasn't my internet (high speed) nor my computer (buffy gaming computer) that was the problem. The video would load just fine when it actually started to play, but it took forever for it to buffer enough to start to play the video. I would often have to refresh the page when the video would seemingly freeze in infinite buffering.

Turns out, it was this extension all along, even though I ONLY used it to remove the trending page tab on the sidebar. How exactly does removing a tab in the sidebar even affect playing a video at all?

This extension is guarding our precious time and mental health.

This is the best extension that I had in my life, thank you so much, I would thank you a lot if you add a new option about hiding the replies of the comments, because sometimes I want to read the comments but I lose time reading the replies, if you can do that I would be happy, thank you so much again!

Unhook has saved me from so many YouTube spirals. It is so simple to use, very lightweight and makes youtube more lightweight. It does everything it says it does very well.

It's also quick enough to change for when I do want to go following content.

You wrote in the description "Compatible with mobile YouTube", but I cannot use it on android.

YouTube algorithm is so smart and i always find myself wasting tremendous amount of time watching useless videos.

Addon does what it advertises, but the fact that it's "all rights reserved" and you cannot check the code is quite sketchy for an addon.

On feature I would suggest is to grey out thumbnails and other interactive elements. It would help remove distractions even more :)

Youtube completely turned black after installation. Maybe it was interfering with another extension, idk. Once I uninstalled things went back to normal.

- For the record uBlock Origin was installed prior to this. Again, I'm not sure if it somehow conflicted with this extension or not. I might consider a resinstall in the future should anything go wrong with the current setup. For now, things are fine.
