Trying to get rid of this adblock plus is not easy, too complicated for seniors - why make it so hard for us and others?

Eats all available memory when blocking ads from Yahoo, then sucks up swap as well. Also maxes out the CPU so you can't even close tabs. The only remedy is to restart the machine. NOT recommended. Ublock Origin has none of these problems.

Yes, I refer to the Acceptable Ads program, allow me to translate it in a bullshit-free language: ABP make companies pay for the right to bypass (allowed by default ABP extension config) the ads-blocking feature.

In other terms, ABP comes as an extra pay-wall between ads companies and end-users by imposing a new fee for passing "The Acceptable Ads Committee", where the main criteria for "acceptance" is nothing but the dime the advertisers have to pay ABP to let their ads go through. Great, the ads won't be animated, yadi yada, but that's still an ad.

As Rick Sanchez would say, it's just advertisement, with extra steps.

Und ich will auch "FB-Systeminhalte", z.B. Faktenchecker-Quatsch, Klima und Corona-Meldungen, und sonstiges Framing sauber BLOCKIEREN!

Weil die mit den ganzen Weltverbrechern zusammen arbeiten, ich mir das aber nicht bieten lassen will!

Aber zum Abspeichern prüfen ob ich am Text was geändert habe....braucht die Welt nicht!

I want the program to start at 0, no adblocking at all. And then I block sites I want to block from ads, about 5-6 sites. All other will be free from blocking.
As far as I know it does not work on this program.

Tired of its own ad in new tabs...

It's become malicious software now. Add on creates popup tabs soliciting donations.

I read it is supected to be a commercial company and makes money on "convenable" advertisements.
Look at you*tube video from Micode who recommend using U--block

Hasn't worked on youtube the last few months. Have tried all the recommendations but the adds always come back after 3 or 4 days. Need an alternative.

How about I leave you behind? Automatically launching new tabs (when trying to make a new tab yourself) that advertise "features" like this, especially features that are ALREADY FREE (just look up the "I don't care about cookies" Adblock filter list), is highly intrusive and is therefore against what you originally stood for concerning blocking intrusive ads.

Stop selling your soul for money. If you need money this bad, just sell this plugin to someone else, because you are clearly not responsible enough to keep up its reputation.
