Sobre esta extensión
Aubergine is a self-custody browser wallet for the Stellar network. Your keys are generated on your device and encrypted with your password. They never leave the extension. We run no accounts and no server, and the wallet sends no telemetry.
The wallet has two modes.
Beginner mode covers the first steps: balance, send, receive, swap. Before you sign, the wallet says in plain words what the transaction will do. It warns you when a payment would create a new account for the recipient, or push your own balance below the reserve Stellar holds back.
Developer mode sits behind a switch in settings. It adds the raw XDR view, network selection including futurenet and your own Soroban RPC endpoint, manual fees, the reserve broken down line by line, the signer overview for multisig accounts, asset approvals for any issuer, and the connector that lets web apps ask this wallet for a signature. The connector speaks the established Freighter interface, so existing Stellar apps work unchanged. In beginner mode nothing is injected into web pages at all.
A swap queries two routes at once, the Stellar DEX and the Soroswap aggregator, and the better quote wins. The wallet names the route it took. An aggregator swap is a contract call, so the wallet compares the prepared call against the quote before the confirmation screen appears: the contract, the function, the recipient, both token arguments, both amounts. If anything differs, it refuses to sign.
The wallet starts on the Stellar test network, where balances are worth nothing. Mainnet is reachable once you type a confirmation, but we do not recommend it yet. The documentation at https://aubergine.tech/en/docs/ covers what works and what does not.
