Autodarts Match Companion por FreeStyle

Autodarts Match Companion is a lightweight Firefox add-on designed to improve the live match experience on both the new and legacy Autodarts interfaces.

It supports Firefox desktop and Firefox for Android, with practical enhancements for clearer scoring, easier controls, and more consistent player positioning.

New and legacy UI support

Use the redesigned Autodarts UI at play.autodarts.com or the legacy layout at play-v1.autodarts.com. One add-on supports both, automatically adapting its controls to the interface you use.

On the new UI, the quick-chat dock and player selector use matching blue styling. The player selector sits in the bottom control bar, with quick chat directly above it. Controls adapt to desktop, phone, and tablet screen sizes.

The legacy site retains its familiar controls. Your feature preferences and remembered player choices are shared across both sites within the same Firefox profile.

Automatic fullscreen

On desktop, the add-on can automatically switch Firefox into fullscreen when a live match opens, creating a cleaner and more immersive layout. When you leave the match, Firefox returns to its normal maximized window state.

Automatic fullscreen is unavailable on Android because Firefox for Android does not provide the required window controls.

Enhanced scoring display

The scoring area is reformatted for easier reading during play. Throw notation such as T20, D16, and BULL is displayed prominently, with its numeric value underneath.

On the new UI, individual single-bull hits appear as BULL with 25 underneath, and double-bull hits as DBULL with 50 underneath. Misses show zero points, and checkout and setup suggestions in the turn bar also use the enhanced display. The visit total remains separate and centred in its area.

On the legacy UI, bull notation is shown when the visit contains a single scoring dart in the single or double bull. Other combinations totalling 25 or 50 remain numeric.

Player side control

A compact selector on the match screen lets you choose which player should remain on the left, even when Autodarts changes the player order between legs.

On the new UI, find the selector in the bottom control bar between Settings and Undo/Next. In the sidebar layout, the preferred player is placed at the top instead of on the left.

Selected players are remembered across matches. If no remembered player is present, the normal Autodarts order is used. If multiple remembered players play together, the most recently selected player takes priority.

The active player also receives a clearer turn highlight.

Has the darts indicator

A small dart icon appears beside the player who has the first throw in the current leg.

On the new UI, our dart icon replaces the small dot that identifies the leg's starting player. It is separate from the active-turn highlight and Autodarts' darts-thrown counter. Turning the feature off restores the original dot.

On the legacy UI, the indicator remains hidden during Bull-off and appears once the starting player has been determined. It updates automatically for each new leg.

Quick chat dock

A compact set of touchscreen-friendly quick-chat buttons appears during live matches, providing access to common messages without opening the keyboard first.

On the new UI, the dock uses a navy background and blue outlined buttons to match Autodarts' native controls. It sits above the bottom control bar, with space reserved in the layout to keep the match controls accessible.

How to use

1. Install the add-on in Firefox.
2. Open a live Autodarts match at play.autodarts.com (new UI) or play-v1.autodarts.com (legacy UI).
3. Open the add-on popup from the Firefox toolbar.
4. Enable or disable the available features:

10. When Player side control is enabled, use the compact “Left:” selector on the match screen to choose a player or restore the normal Autodarts order.

Notes

The add-on is designed for supported live match pages only. It does not modify history pages or general site navigation.

Settings and remembered player-side choices are stored locally in Firefox.

The add-on does not send telemetry, analytics, browsing history, or personal data to the developer.
