BrowLighter lets you capture highlighted text and image bookmarks from any page, save them in Firefox Sync, and revisit them later from a compact side drawer. Search saved notes, export or import your library, copy source links, and keep lightweight research notes without leaving the page.

BrowLighter is a lightweight in-browser note and bookmark tool for Firefox. It is designed for reading, research, reference gathering, and quick capture while you browse.

What it does:

• Save highlighted text directly from the current page
• Bookmark images from a page for later reference
• Store saved notes and bookmarks in Firefox Sync so they follow your Firefox
  account
• Open saved items later and jump back to their source pages
• Search your saved notes by text, page title, or URL
• Export your saved library as JSON
• Import previously exported notes
• Copy saved source links for reuse outside the extension

How it works:

• Open the BrowLighter drawer from the Firefox toolbar button
• Highlight text on a page or capture a selection into the drawer
• Right-click and select 'Save selected text locally' to save the pending item into your synced note library
• Revisit, export, delete, or search saved items from the Notes tab

Data and permissions:
BrowLighter uses Firefox storage to save your note library and uses Firefox Sync to
keep saved items available across signed-in Firefox sessions. It needs access to
page context so it can capture highlighted text and bookmarked images from the
sites you visit.
