DownSub TXT Downloader does not collect, store, sell, or use personal information for advertising, analytics, profiling, or tracking.

When the user explicitly clicks the extension toolbar button, the extension reads the URL of the active video page and opens DownSub with that URL. This transmission is necessary to provide the extension’s subtitle-download function. Mozilla classifies the transmission of a visited page URL as “browsing activity.”

The extension does not transmit URLs automatically in the background. It does not retain browsing history, subtitle contents, account details, cookies, authentication information, or downloaded files.

The submitted video URL is processed by DownSub, a third-party service. DownSub’s own privacy policy and terms apply to its handling of that URL. This extension is independently developed and is not affiliated with DownSub, YouTube, or Mozilla.

Users can stop all extension activity by not clicking its toolbar button or by uninstalling the extension.
