Extuno Browser Threat Protection - Privacy Policy
This add-on collects only what it needs to return a security verdict and to protect you while you browse. It behaves the same on Firefox and Chrome.
What the add-on sends to Extuno (https://extuno.com):
- An anonymous device identifier that is not tied to your name or account.
- The ids, names, and versions of the extensions installed in your browser, used to return a verdict for each.
- The store id of an extension when you choose to run a deep scan.
- The URL or host of a page when you report it, or when a crypto-miner or skimmer is detected on it.
- Your Extuno account key, only if you choose to connect an account.
- Your IP address, processed by our servers for rate limiting, abuse prevention, and a coarse country estimate.
What the add-on does not do:
- It never reads the files of your other extensions, and never disables or removes them.
- A deep scan uploads no files from your device; the published package is fetched by its store id on our servers.
- Page content is inspected on your device for threat signals and is not transmitted.
- It does not collect your browsing history, and every protection feature works without an account.
We do not sell your data or use it for anything unrelated to the add-on's purpose.
